After an extraordinary 39-year career of dedicated service to Ball State University, we announce the well-deserved retirement of Karen Adkins, Senior Executive Director of Auxiliary Services for University Food, Beverage, Conference Services and Special Events.
A proud graduate of the Ball State University Family and Consumer Sciences program, Karen joined Ball State University Dining in 1986 as a Dining Supervisor. Over the past four decades, she advanced through multiple roles, including Assistant Manager, Manager, Assistant Director, and Director.
Karen Adkins is, quite simply, a Master of Campus Hospitality Excellence. Her exceptional expertise and unrelenting dedication both nurtured and elevated Ball State’s culinary and conference programs. By maintaining her signature high standards and excepting no less than our very best, Karen leaves a remarkable legacy.
In announcing her retirement, Karen shared, "I truly enjoyed my 39 years working in University Dining and wish the best for University Dining, Business and Auxiliary Services, and Ball State University."
