Writing Center Information for Your Fall 2021 Classes

August 01, 2021

The Writing Center will re-open for face-to-face appointments this fall in our Robert Bell and Bracken Library locations! We will, of course, continue to offer online appointments as well.

If your fall courses include writing assignments, please consider adding this updated blurb to your syllabus:

The Writing Center
All writers improve with practice and feedback, so as a student in this course, you are encouraged to use the Writing Center (in Robert Bell 295, Bracken Library, or online) to get additional feedback on your writing. To schedule a free appointment to discuss your writing, go to www.bsu.edu/writingcenter. Online and in-person appointments are available seven days a week; however, plan ahead because appointments book quickly!

Or, even easier, you can add the "Student Guide to the Writing Center at Ball State" module from the Canvas Commons directly into your courses. This module contains information for students on how to make an appointment, our hours and locations, and allows students to chat with a writing center tutor right in the module. [Instructions here.]

Cheers,

Jackie Grutsch McKinney, Ph.D.
Professor of English & Director of the Writing Center
