What Community Partners Want Faculty to Know

Monday, September 27, 1-2 pm

Via Zoom

It can take years for community partners and faculty to understand the challenges, constraints, and realities of each other’s worlds. This one-hour session will give you a valuable jumpstart before you begin your next community project. The interactive Q&A session will be moderated by Erin Moore, Office of Community Engagement, and feature insights from four community partners with extensive experience working with Ball State faculty and students:

  • Jeff Helm, Youth Opportunity Center
  • Jacquie Hanoman, Ross Community Center
  • Ken Hudson and Frank Scott, Whitely Community Council
  • Carol Bradshaw, Second Harvest Food Bank

Please RSVP for this session.  Faculty will have an opportunity to submit their own questions. The session will be recorded. For more best practices, check out Ball State’s Community Engagement Faculty Toolkit, produced by the 2019-2020 Faculty Learning Community on Community Engagement.
