Faculty Recital: Stephen Campbell and Cara Chowning with Guest Artist Douglas S. Lindsay

Stephen Campbell, Douglas S. Lindsay, trumpet  (Miami University of Oxford and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, ret.), and Cara Chowning, piano are performing a trio recital!

Thursday, November 6 | Ball State Symphony Orchestra | 7:30 P.M. | Sursa Hall

The Ball State Symphony Orchestra is a flagship ensemble of the School of Music that performs orchestral music from a wide variety of backgrounds and time periods. Program to include works by Prokofiev, Ravel, Wagner, and Copland. Tickets available through the College of Fine Arts Box Office online, by phone at 765-285-8749, or in person.

Friday, November 7 | Clarinet Day | 9 A.M. | MIB/Sursa Hall

Join the BSU Clarinet Studio for Clarinet Day featuring world-renowned clarinetist David Shifrin and pianist Marina Iwao! This free event is open to the public and prospective students. Connect with our BSU clarinet students, learn firsthand what it’s like to study music at Ball State, and bring your instrument to join us in a side-by-side rehearsal with the BSU Clarinet Choir. The day will also include a guest artist masterclass and recital you won’t want to miss. To reserve your spot, please complete the registration form below.

University Singers Fall Concerts | 3 P.M. and 6 P.M. | Sursa Hall

The University Singers, also known as "Indiana’s Official Goodwill Ambassadors," celebrate their 62nd season this year! Under the direction of Jodi Cotton-Street, the ensemble kicks off the season with its annual Fall Concert featuring songs of faith, hope, laughter, and love. Doctoral Performance Recital: Yu-Hsuan (Kimi) Lee, cello | 5:30 P.M. | Hahn Hall

Yu-Hsuan (Kimi) Lee is a cello student of Peter Opie.

Horn Studio Recital | 7:30 P.M. | Hahn Hall

This recital will feature the horn students of Gene Berger.

Trumpet Tattoo with Patricia Burton, cello | 7:30 P.M. | First Presbyterian Church in Muncie

This concert will feature the music of Igor Stravinsky (Firebird Suite 1919) and John Williams (Duel of the Fates) as well as Patricia Burton, cello soloist.
