Watch for the National Leadership Survey (MSL) This Week

March 25, 2026

Beginning this week, Ball State students will receive an invitation to participate in the Multi-Institutional Study of Leadership (MSL) a nationally recognized survey used by universities to better understand student experiences, leadership development, and campus engagement.

If you receive this invitation, your voice is especially important. The survey is sent to a limited group of students, and your responses directly inform decisions that shape programs, opportunities, and the overall student experience at Ball State.

What to expect:

  • An initial pre-invitation email, followed by the official survey link
  • Messages sent from msl@expandingleadership.org
  • Approximately 15–20 minutes to complete

All responses are confidential. Ball State receives only de-identified, aggregate data.

Why participate?

  • Help improve student life and campus programs
  • Strengthen leadership development opportunities
  • Ensure your experiences and perspectives are represented

Faculty and staff: A brief reminder in class or through Canvas can significantly increase student participation. Your encouragement makes a difference.
