Each fall, the Undergraduate Sport Administration 402 – Event Management in Sport class organizes the Chase Charlie Races. The 25th Annual Chase Charlie Races are part of the Homecoming events on Saturday, October 18, 2025.  

The purpose of our event is three-fold:

  1. To create a unique and quality event for all participants.

  2. To provide undergraduate students with a valuable immersive learning opportunity that benefits the Sport Administration Professional Event Fund, which provide scholarship and professional development opportunities for high achieving sport administration students.

  3. To educate and prepare the Muncie community for a lifetime of healthy living.

Although pre-registration is now closed, you can SIGN UP as a Walk-Up on Saturday, Oct. 18.

5K Walk-Up:

  • Walk-Up registration will be held at Emens Auditorium from 6:45-8:15am.
  • Registration is $35 - CASH or CHECK ONLY – Cotton shirts are available, while supplies last.
  • Shuttle busses will be transporting participants to Muncie City Hall from 6:45-8:15am.
    • Get to campus early to avoid missing the shuttles!!
  • The 5K run/walk will start at 8:45am. 

Kiddie 100 Walk-Up:

  • There will be a table outside Gate 4 of Scheumann Stadium and a table inside Scheumann Stadium near the elevator to register.
  • Registration will be from approximately 1pm – End of the 1st Quarter.
  • Registration is $10/child – CASH or CHECK ONLY – Cotton shirts are available, while supplies last.
