Voting Now Open to Undergraduate Students for Excellence in Teaching Award

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2026 Excellence in Teaching Award, an honor that recognizes Ball State University instructors for their expertise, dedication, and talent in the classroom. 

Of all awards that are presented during the Faculty Convocation at the beginning of fall semester, the Excellence in Teaching award is the only one based on student nominations.

Nominations will be accepted through SUNDAY, MARCH 22, 2026 at 11:59 pm.

After nominations are complete, the top vote-getters will move on to a second round where a committee chooses up to three winners. Each winner receives a plaque at the Fall Faculty Convocation, a monetary award, and the opportunity to teach an existing course with innovative enhancements.
