For many Delaware County families, flood recovery is just beginning. And YOUR help is needed.
The Heart of Indiana United Way is connecting volunteers with the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief team in Muncie to help with ongoing recovery work at impacted homes throughout Delaware County.
Volunteers are needed for:
- Cleanup and debris removal
- Moving and lifting belongings
- Removal of flood-damaged materials
- Skilled trades and repairs
- Other hands-on recovery needs
Heart of Indiana United Way notes that "signing up ahead of time is important. It allows the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief team to know how many volunteers to expect each day so they can plan teams, projects and the work that can be accomplished at impacted homes."
Sign up on the schedule here. Once you sign up, Heart of Indiana United Way will share your contact information and planned volunteer date with the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief team so they know who to expect.
Volunteers must be 18 or older and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
