Volunteer with Staatskongress on Feb 8th!

January 17, 2025

Staatskongress will be happening this year on February 8th from 9-5 PM, and BSU students have the opportunity to volunteer with the German Club! Staatskongress is an event held at BSU, in the Student Center and Burkhardt Building, where German students from Indiana high schools come for a day filled with German activities, competitions, and German speaking practice. In the past, more than 400 high school students have been in attendance, so we have various volunteer positions open. If you need volunteer hours, extra credit in German class, or more experience for your resume, this is a great opportunity.

You can sign up to volunteer using this link: signup sheet

You do not have to have knowledge in German to volunteer. If you can speak German, no matter the level, please consider volunteering as a Bergwanderer! There are other positions such as crowd control, helping with workshops, and judging skit, music, talent, and academic competitions available to those who don't have German speaking knowledge. Please see the information sheet for more detailed information on the positions available, specific locations and times. You have the option to volunteer in the morning, afternoon, all day, or you can let us know what times work for you.

There will be a meeting before the event for volunteers. For any questions or concerns, please contact GermanClub@bsu.edu
