The Humanities, Fine Arts, and Social Sciences capture our experiences and our imaginations in various forms. In this transdisciplinary seminar team-taught by award winning faculty Tim Berg (Honors College), Jayne Beilke (Teachers College), and Jon Truitt (College of Fine Arts) students will explore themes such as vulnerability, marginalization, memory, recovery, and others through a variety of mediums, from opera to art to written word. Through the semester we hope to discover how human beings have survived crises in the past and how sometimes a crisis can be the catalyst for creating great beauty, discovery, and understanding.

For more information, and to discuss how this one-of-a-kind opportunity can work within your degree plan, please contact Tim Berg (HONR299X) at tdberg@bsu.edu, Jayne Beilke (EDSE 299X) at jbeilke@bsu.edu or Jon Truitt (MUSC 299X) at jstruitt@bsu.edu.
