Updated Duo Application User Experience, Dropping Support for iOS 13, Android 8 and 9

Beginning January 2, 2023, Ball State’s two-factor authentication app, Duo, will be updated, including a new user experience. After entering your Ball State username and password, you will be redirected to a new Duo screen, which will look slightly different, but will work in the same manner. 

Information Technology has put together a Technology Knowledge Base article to describe the new authentication process, along with a screenshot of the new interface.

In addition, Duo is dropping support for older iOS and Android operating systems and will no longer support devices using iOS 13 or lower, or Android 8 or Android 9 or lower. If you have a device using these operating systems, you must either update your OS, if possible, or if not, upgrade your device to a newer model in order to continue to use Duo on your mobile device.
