The incoming dean of libraries, Dr. Nancy Abashian, and I are pleased to name Dr. Amy Petts as the new associate dean for strategic engagement and learning at University Libraries. In her new role, Amy will provide leadership for strategic planning and assessment as well as oversight of Research, Branch Services, Archives, and Special Collections.
Lisa Jarrell, the associate dean for research, access, and open education, will assume leadership for the Office of Digital Scholarship and continue to lead Access Services.
Through this organizational realignment, effective on April 14, 2025, University Libraries will pursue plans to create innovative services and spaces, including developing the Academic Learning Commons—designed to support students, faculty, and the broader East Central Indiana Community—well into the future.
