UCC Beneficence Theme Proposal Workshop

March 27, 2025

Do you have an idea for a new course or a revision of an existing course for one of the UCC Beneficence Themes? If so, please apply to participate in this collaborative workshop to develop your proposal and related course materials.

In collaboration with the UCC Director, Debbie Mix, and Ball State’s Director of Assessment and Accreditation, Carole Kacius, and one another, participants will develop complete UCC course proposals ready to submit for curriculum review at the start of the fall 2025 semester. There will be a two-hour in-person meeting on Wednesday, May 14, but subsequent work can be completed in any modality. Participants who deliver full UCC proposals and related course materials by the end of Summer I (June 13, 2025) will be eligible to receive a minimum of $150 in RIA funds.

Tenure-line and non-tenure-line faculty from all academic areas are invited to apply, but preference will be given to those proposing courses in areas of highest need. To apply, complete this form. You will be asked to identify at least one potential course (new or revised) to develop, and you will also be asked to confirm with your department chairperson that this course will be offered during the 2026-2027 academic year. Applications will be accepted until May 1, 2025.

Space is limited, so please apply soon!
