Two Ball State Deans Participating In Upcoming ACE Women’s Network of Indiana Leadership Conference

Two Ball State University college deans will serve as panelists at the upcoming American Council on Education (ACE) Women’s Network of Indiana 2nd Annual Leadership Conference.

Dr. Maureen McCarthy, dean of the College of Sciences and Humanities, and Dr. Paaige Turner, dean of the College of Communication, Information, and Media, are participating in the virtual Perspectives on Leadership Panel of Deans from noon-1:30 p.m. EDT on Thursday, April 15.

The rest of the Leadership Conference will be held virtually beginning at 8:30 a.m. EDT on Friday, April 16. The Leadership Conference, titled, “Lead From Where You Are,” will include Keynote Speaker Ashleigh Shelby Rosette, Professor of Management and Organizations, Senior Associate Dean of Executive MBA and Non-Degree Programs at Duke University.

Other speakers include Roslyn Clark Artis, the President of Benedict College; Rose B. Bellanca, the President and CEO of Washtenaw Community College; Teresa Lubbers, the Indiana Commissioner for Higher Education; and Karen Schuster Webb, the President of Union Institute & University.

These speakers will share in concurrent panels titled, “The Courage to Lead: Inner Dimensions of Leadership,” and, “How to Mentor and Support Other Women.”
