Trauma 2 Triumph

February 19, 2020
Attention,

In honor of Black History Month, the Impact Movement will be having a spring outreach. This outreach is centered around trauma, healing, and moving forward.

Nine African Americans were killed in the Charleston church shooting on June 17, 2015. Jennifer Pinckney, a survivor of this traumatic event, is coming to speak at Ball State about her experience. Through her story, she will be addressing trauma and how to forgive in the midst of injustice. They will be accompanied by Dr. Margaret Weaver, a licensed clinical psychologist, who will speak on how we can heal and move forward in trauma.

Please mark your calendars because this will be happening over the span of two days, Friday February 21st and Saturday February 22nd. On Friday, the movie Emanuel will be shown in Pruis Hall from 5 p.m to 7 p.m.

On Saturday, our guest speakers Jennifer Pinckney and Dr. Margaret Weaver will be speaking from 3 p.m to 5 p.m in Emens Auditorium. These events are FREE! A link to the flyer is below.
