It’s not too late to register for the upcoming Student Employment Development Series. If you are responsible for the supervision and development of a student worker in your workspace, you will not want to miss our lineup this semester.
Understanding the Student Employment EPAF
December 3, 12 – 1:30 p.m.
New to the EPAF process or need a refresher? Join us for a run-through of how to fill out an EPAF, discuss some common errors, and gain a better understanding the hiring process. This training is designed for individuals with a basic understanding of the EPAF and hiring processes. All are welcome, no matter the skill level.
Are you a new supervisor working with student employees in your department? This session will walk you through the process from preparing to hire a student through the end of their employment with your department. This includes discussing the many resources available to you through our office.
Conflict Resolution for Student Supervisors
Conflict in the workplace is inevitable. How we handle the conflict can make all the difference in our overall job satisfaction, productivity, and leadership abilities. This interactive session will provide on-campus supervisors with the tools to have productive, difficult conversations with their student employees.
Skills in Student Employment
On-campus student employment provides students the space to develop valuable transferable skills. Sometimes students need help identifying those skills and practice articulating their value. This session will help you, their supervisor, identify and speak to those skills for future employment opportunities.
