TONIGHT Emens-Meyer Lecture "From Surviving to Thriving"

2021 Emens-Meyer Lecture “From Surviving to Thriving: Creating Equitable Environments through Emotional Intelligence and Culturally Relevant Practices” with Dr. Dena Simmons will be held TONIGHT at 7:30PM via Zoom.
Dr. Dena Simmons, director of education at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and associate research scientist at the Yale University School of Medicine, will explore how emotional intelligence can be employed to create anti-racist environments and foster culturally relevant practices. The virtual lecture will be 60 minutes followed by 10 minutes of Q&A.
The Honors College will host this lecture with support from the Emens Professorship fund; the Bruce F. and Ildiko B. Meyer Honors Memorial Lecture Fund; the Honors College Expansion Fund, established by a generous gift from the George and Frances Ball Foundation; and by gifts from Honors College alumni and friends.
