The Writing Center is hiring tutors! Please encourage undergraduate students to apply. We are looking for great communicators who enjoy working with others and talking about writing. Interested students can find application instructions on Workday. We will begin reviewing applications on November 6th.

What makes a good Writing Center tutor? Being a strong writer is a good start, but it’s also important that they’re good at working with others–think about your students who work well in groups, who cheer on their classmates, and who can offer constructive feedback. We welcome applications from all undergraduate students, including those from historically underrepresented groups and those with a range of linguistic experiences. We're especially excited to hear from students who are early in their academic careers (and would be a part of the writing center community for semesters to come).

Please pass this information on to students who might be interested. Questions? Email Writing Center Director Dr. Charlotte Kupsh at charlotte.kupsh@bsu.edu.
