The Writing Center provides free writing feedback to all students at Ball State. We are currently looking for mature, confident writers from diverse backgrounds and majors to join our tutoring team. Tutors primarily work with students in face-to-face or online one-on-one writing appointments. All tutors receive extensive and ongoing training in best practices for giving writing feedback. Schedules are arranged and include evening and weekend hours.
Applicants must have stellar oral, interpersonal, and written communications skills and a passion for writing. Preference will be given to: Applicants with previous tutoring experience and/or who have taken ENG 389: Writing Center Practicum; Applicants with diverse majors, programs of study, and backgrounds; Applicants who are fluent in more than one language; and/or Applicants with digital writing expertise.
