The Teaching Innovation Team is committed to helping faculty create engaging and effective learning environments for their students. We are a team of educators who are dedicated to supporting all faculty to meet their pedagogical goals. Our team includes Sarah Ackermann, Kathy Jacobi, Cheri Madewell, Dan Jones, Eva Grouling Snider, John Carter, Carlos Lopez Mercado, and India Potter

Our team offers:

  • One-On-One Consultations: We can meet with you to discuss course design and to brainstorm innovative ideas for solving classroom needs. Contact us at strategiclrn@bsu.edu to schedule a consultation!
  • Faculty Development Programming: We offer programs on a variety of topics, such as active learning and using technology in the classroom.
  • Midterm Feedback Service: We can facilitate a conversation with your students to identify what is currently working in your course and what suggestions they have for you to consider.
  • Self-Paced Courses: Our team has designed several self-paced courses that invite faculty to learn more about accessibility in course design and the basic functions of Canvas.
  • The Teaching Innovation Blog: Check out our weekly articles where we share research-informed, learner-centered pedagogy, from teaching with technology to experimental and active learning strategies.

We look forward to collaborating with you and supporting your teaching practice!
