The Best Clay Artists from Around the State Are Coming to Muncie!

The State of Clay in Indiana IV | September 17-October 5 | 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. | The Ned and Gloria Griner Art Gallery

In conjunction with the 4th biennial Indiana Clay Conference, October 4-5, 2025 at the L.A. Pittenger Student Center, the juried component of the State of Clay in Indiana IV exhibition will highlight the diverse work made by clay artists who have lived or worked in the state of Indiana, while the invitational component of the exhibition spotlights the work of the conference organizers. The exhibition will be juried by Lenny Dowhie.

The associated conference, co-sponsored by Purdue University Fort Wayne, will highlight the clay community in Indiana and features Suze Lindsay, Richard W. James, Sarah Anderson, and Sam Chumley as demonstrating artists. The featured Keynote Speaker is Bill Griffith, former Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts Administrator.

Join us for the Exhibition Reception and Gallery Talk on October 4 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. This exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
