In the show, an oddball crew of middle schoolers gather for the annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, where the words are tough, the competition is tougher, and the emotions run hilariously high. Amid outrageous antics and heartfelt confessions, the spellers learn that there’s more to life than winning.
