Call for Presentations: Symposium on Games at Ball State University

November 12, 2021, 12 pm- 7 pm

Submissions are due Friday, September 24, 2021

The Symposium on Games at Ball State University aims to bring together game researchers, teachers, and community members to share their knowledge of games and game design. We invite two types of proposals:

1) A 300-word abstract for a 20-minute individual presentation. We welcome presentations on any aspect of games in higher education, including design, development, production, programming, applications, and analysis. If you're interested in sharing your stories about games in higher education, we're excited to hear about it!

2) A brief description (300-words) of a demonstration or prototype of a game for our showcase. All kinds of games and prototypes are welcome, including student-created games, works-in-progress, and classroom games. Games may be either analog or digital. Please describe the type of game, where it is in production, and whether you would like to demo, playtest, or simply share the game.

All proposals will be peer-reviewed and presenters will be notified of acceptance by Friday, October 8th, 2021. You may submit more than one proposal. All submissions will be double-blind reviewed.
