The Indiana Writing Project is hosting two writing camps this summer, June 14-25 and June 29-July2, for students in grades 4-12.
YOUTH WRITING CAMP (all genres)
June 14 - 25, 2021. For writers entering grades 4-8 and 9-12.
Location TBD*
Writers will spend time immersed in the writing process and receive personalized feedback in a variety of ways. Students will publish their writing in a camp anthology and share their writing with a celebration on the last day of camp. All camps are taught by experienced K-12 teachers and assisted by Ball State students.
POETRY CAMP
June 29 - July 2, 2021. For writers entering grades 7-12.
Location TBD*
Perfect for the budding poet! We'll experiment with different types of poetry and use the campus setting as our canvas for ideas!
*We are working to plan the safest and most fun camp for our writers!
?Given the uncertainty of COVID-19 and Ball State's policies for having students on campus this summer, we're still working out details about if camps will be held on campus or virtually. The cost of the camps will depend on whether we are able to offer them in person or online.
