Youth Writing Camp (Multi-Genre)
June 14 - 25, 9AM - 12 PM
Ball State Campus
Ideal for writers who want to work in many genres (narrative, poetry, non-fiction). The longer camp will allow students to refine and develop writing over the two weeks and to polish something for publication!
Open to students in grades 4-8 and 9-12
Cost: $150
(Fee includes snacks and t-shirt)

Poetry Camp
June 29 - July 2, 9AM - 12 PM

Perfect for the budding poet! We'll experiment with different types of poetry and use the campus setting as our canvas for ideas!
Open to: Grades 7-12
Cost: $75
COVID Response Policy
The camps will follow CDC guidelines for Youth and Summer Camps. Campers will have their temperature checked each morning, will be required to wear masks, and a summary of the day will always be posted on our camp's Google Classroom page following camp each day for campers who need to miss.

The Indiana Writing Project
The Indiana Writing Project (IWP) is an organization committed to promoting the best possible writing instruction in Indiana's elementary, secondary, and post-secondary schools. The Project is administered through Ball State University's English Department and funded through the generous support of Ball State and the National Writing Project. The Project has been recognized by the Indiana state legislature for our work in helping teachers improve student performance in writing. All IWP programs are led by our Teacher Consultants, local teachers who have completed our intensive leadership institute.
