study abroad in San Juan, Puerto Rico OR Dublin, Ireland (Spring 2026) -- at the same cost as BSU main campus!

July 28, 2025

Ball State’s BSU-in program gives you the chance to spend an entire semester abroad—taking BSU classes with BSU professors—while paying the same cost as a semester on campus (tuition, housing, meals, and financial aid included).

For Spring 2026, the BSU-in locations are Dublin, Ireland, and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
These locations rotate each semester, so if you’ve ever wanted to live in one of these incredible places, now is the time to apply!

Why BSU-in is perfect for first- and second-year students:

  • Cost-equivalent to a BSU semester (housing + meals included, airfare not included)
  • BSU faculty and small BSU cohorts—a supportive community abroad
  • Take core curriculum, electives, or major/minor courses to stay on track academically

Spring 2026 Course Highlights:

  • Dublin: Communication Studies, English, Criminal Justice, Risk Management & Insurance, Geography, plus a course in Irish Studies (Irish Music or Irish Econ)
  • San Juan: Health Sciences, Biology, Spanish, plus a course in Puerto Rican Culture

You’ll also enjoy one included group excursion, plus free weekends to explore Ireland, Puerto Rico, or beyond.

Applications are open now for Spring 2026—deadline is September 15.

If you’re a freshman or sophomore, this is the perfect time to plan ahead.
