The freight elevator at the Student Center was original to the building. It has since been modernized to meet all current standards. As of April 22nd at 2pm the freight elevator is back in operation. If your department has utilized the elevator in the past the same key(s) you were issued will continue to operate the elevator. Upon entering the elevator car you will depress door close until the door automatically shuts. When you exit the car you will depress the door close button until you hear a series of chimes, then the door will shut. This is a new safety feature.
