Fall Special Exhibition at the David Owsley Museum of Art

September 27, 2022

This semester, the David Owsley Museum of Art (DOMA) presents a special exhibition of new additions to the collection. Regionalism, Surrealism, and Climate Change: Recent Loans and Acquisitions at the David Owsley Museum of Art opens this Thursday in the museum's Brown Study Room and will remain on view through December 22, 2022. The show features a selection of several donations, purchases, loans, and promised gifts that illustrate major modernist movements and raise awareness about climate change, which the World Health Organization considers the greatest threat to global health in the 21st century.

At 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, DOMA director Dr. Robert G. La France will give an overview tour of the exhibition for faculty, educators, and museum friends; all are welcome, but pre-registration is appreciated.

At 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, featured artist Diane Burko will give a public talk on art and climate change in the Recital Hall of the Fine Arts Building. The museum will be open to the public with extended hours (4:30-6:00 p.m.) prior to the talk for visitors who wish to come early to view the exhibition.

This exhibition and related events are made possible by Ball State's Arts Alive Series, presented by the College of Fine Arts.
