The Rinker Center for Global Affairs is excited to announce the new events for Spring 2024!
Culture Exchange: 8 Wednesday Culture Exchanges this semester from 12 to 1pm, each one providing a glimpse into the country, culture and life experience of many international students and some international faculty and staff. Culture Exchanges are a great opportunity to come and learn something new about the world around you! (01/31 Cameroon, 02/14 China, 02/21 Sri Lanka, 02/28 Kosovo, 03/13 Ivory Coast, 03/20 Persian New Year Norouz, 03/27 Ghana, 04/03 Iranian culture of tea).
International Hangout: monthly Friday events from 3 to 4:30pm where people from any and all backgrounds are encouraged to gather together and learn about other cultures and seize the opportunity to try out beverage, games, trivia and so forth from countries around the world! (01/26 Global Trivia, 02/23 Iran, 03/29 West Africa)
Language Night: we highlight a language and explore its origin and cultural context. You will also get to learn some fun and useful phrases! This semester we are featuring Japanese on 02/16 from 4 to 5pm!
Cooking Night: Join us for a night of learning about culture and food on 04/12 from 5 to 6:30pm and try your hand at cooking Ghanaian Jollof Rice! Spots are limited to 15 people for this event, so we ask you RSVP at rcipevents@bsu.edu by 04/10 to participate.
All events take place in the Yuhas Room (106) at the Rinker Center in the Student Center!
