Free and open to the public. This slide lecture traces the history and economic, cultural, and religious importance of boats and ships in ancient Egypt. Professor Vinson will demonstrate how artistic images of Egyptian boats and ships teach us about some of the deepest and most esoteric ancient Egyptian religious concepts.
