Student Jazz Combos
Tuesday, November 17 | 5:30 p.m. | Hahn Recital Hall
This recital will feature student jazz combos that have worked together during the semester.

Ball State Wind Symphony
Tuesday, November 17 | 7:30 p.m. | Sursa Performance Hall

Under the direction of Caroline Hand, program to include works by Hilary Purrington, Jennifer Jolley, Georges Bizet, Modest Mussorgsky, and Franz Schubert.
GENERAL ADMISSION: $5
STUDENT TICKETS are free in advance (before 3 p.m. on Nov. 17) at the Emens box office, or $5 at the door.

Clarinet Studio Recital
Wednesday, November 18 | 5:30 p.m. | Hahn Recital Hall
This recital will feature the students of Elizabeth Crawford, professor of music performance (clarinet).

Cello Studio Recital
Wednesday, November 18 | 7:30 p.m. | Hahn Recital Hall
This recital will feature the students of Peter Opie, associate professor of cello.

Piano Studio Recital
Friday, November 19 | 7:30 p.m. | Hahn Recital Hall
This recital will feature the piano students of Lori Rhoden, professor of music performance.

Ball State Composition Day
Saturday, November 21 | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Hahn Recital Hall
Come learn about music composition, the art and skill of creating music. This event will be led by Ball State composition faculty with opportunities to meet current composition students.

Ball State Opera Theatre: Albert Herring
Saturday, November 21 | 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, November 22 | 3 p.m.
LIVESTREAM ONLY
This English comedic opera by Benjamin Britten follows the timid Albert Herring as he overcomes society’s ridicule and his mother’s firm grip. The Ball State Opera Theatre will present this recorded broadcast using social distancing and masks with the opera set during the 1918 flu pandemic.

Harp Studio Recital
Sunday, November 22 | 3 p.m. | Hahn Recital Hall
This recital will feature the students of Joanne King, instructor of music.



COVID-19 SAFETY POLICIES

We look forward to welcoming our patrons back for concerts! To ensure a safe experience for all we ask that you please observe the following safety policies:
  • If you exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19, do NOT attend events or otherwise enter campus buildings and grounds.
  • Face masks are required inside campus buildings at all times. This includes School of Music performances at Sursa Hall and Hahn Hall. Learn more.
  • Please maintain a physical distance of at least 6 feet from other people at all times.
  • Please follow all ushers’ directions regarding entering and exiting performances. Only select seats will be available in Sursa Hall (marked with red dots) and chairs in Hahn Hall will be appropriately distanced. We ask that you please remain seated throughout the performance to ensure that physical distancing is possible at all times.

TICKET INFORMATION

It is highly recommended that all tickets be purchased in advance as seating is limited to allow for physical distancing in accordance with Ball State COVID-19 policies and CDC guidelines.

Tickets are on sale through the Emens Auditorium box office Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Purchase tickets by phone at 765-285-1539 (1-877-99-EMENS) or in person at 1800 W. Riverside Ave.
  • There is no per order charge for tickets purchased in person.
  • There is a $2 per order charge for tickets purchased by phone and picked up at will-call.
  • There is a $4 per order charge for tickets purchased by phone and mailed.
The box office at Sursa Hall will be open starting one hour prior to the concert. Tickets held at Will Call may be picked up at a table in the lobby.
