Talk on "Curating Contemporary Asian Art within Global and Regional Contexts" by Jacqueline Chao on Wed Nov 3 @6:00 PM. Part of the School of Art’s Visiting Artists, Designers, and Scholars Series (VADS).

Jacqueline Chao, senior curator of Asian art at the Crow Museum of Art at The University of Texas at Dallas, will discuss her current and recently curated contemporary art exhibition projects and programs that position works by artists of Asian descent in expanded art historical, theoretical, and philosophical frameworks.  In this talk, Chao will highlight her efforts to raise the profile of contemporary female artists of Asian descent as well as develop new community collaborations.
