Saturday Writing Camps
The Indiana Writing Project invites young writers to join us for a new series of free Saturday writing camps in Muncie!
Whether your student has attended an IWP camp before or will be joining us for the first time, each session offers a chance to explore new ideas, experiment with different kinds of writing, and share work in an encouraging community.
Sessions are led by Indiana Writing Project Teacher Consultants, experienced local Kâ12 educators who love helping young people grow as writers.
Cost: Free. Advance registration is required. You can register for one session or all three.

Spooky Stories, 10/17
Location: Robert Bell Bldg, Ball State campus
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Write spooky stories, and explore the use of suspense, foreshadowing, and mood.
Dialogue, 11/7
Location: Robert Bell Bldg, Ball State campus
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Create strong and realistic dialogue to make your characters come alive.
Holiday Greeting Cards, 12/5
Location: Ball State Center for Innovation and Collaboration
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Write and design a holiday card for a loved one or friend. Ball State students will help participants use digital tools to transform their writing into a finished card.
