The Rinker Center for Global Affairs is excited to announce the new events for Fall 2023!
Culture Exchange: 8 Wednesday Culture Exchanges this semester from 12 to 1pm, each one providing a glimpse into the country, culture and life experience of many international students and one international educator. Culture Exchanges are a great opportunity to come and learn something new about the world around you! (09/27 Malaysia, 10/11 Norway, 10/18 The Bahamas, 10/25 Brazil, 11/01 Antigua & Barbuda, 11/08 France, 11/15 Burkina Faso, 12/06 Germany)
International Hangout: monthly Friday events from 3 to 4:30pm where people from any and all backgrounds are encouraged to gather together and learn about other cultures and seize the opportunity to try out beverage, games, and dances from countries around the world! (09/22 Bangladesh, 10/20 Japan, 11/17 West Africa)
Language Night: we highlight a language that is not taught at BSU and explore its origin and cultural context. You will also get to learn some fun and useful phrases! This semester we are featuring Bengali on 09/29 from 4 to 5pm!
Cooking Night: Join us for a night of learning about culture and food on 11/10 from 5 to 6:30pm and try your hand at cooking Jollof Rice! Spots are limited to 15 people for this event, so we ask you RSVP at rcipevents@bsu.edu by 11/08 to participate.
All events take place in the Yuhas Room (102) at the Rinker Center in the Student Center!
