Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony to Celebrate Ball Honors House Expansion, Friday, Sept. 26

September 18, 2025

All are welcome to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Edmund F. and Virginia B. Ball Honors House Ribbon-Cutting at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at 1707 W. Riverside Ave. A reception and self-guided tours will follow the ceremony.

The expansion enhances the Honors College’s home with 1,750 square feet of new learning space and 840 square feet of renovated areas. Highlights include a modern new classroom, a fully upgraded existing classroom, and three new faculty offices. Two existing offices have also been renovated to support the college’s growing faculty.

In addition to the classroom and office upgrades, the project introduces a new student collaboration area featuring comfortable seating, a built-in display case, and a dedicated wall for donor recognition. Outside, an expanded gathering space now includes a paved labyrinth and garden, creating a tranquil setting for reflection and programming. The south side of the site has also been reimagined to better accommodate large outdoor events.

Visitor parking is available in the McKinley Avenue Parking Garage. To RSVP, please contact the Office of the President at rsvp@bsu.edu.

More information about the project can be found in this Ball State press release.
