Indiana Campus Compact has compiled helpful resources for adapting programs, teaching, and learning in the face of COVID-19. These resources are organized by topic on their COVID-19 and the Engaged Campus page.

ICC will launch weekly Virtual Conversations, beginning this Friday, March 27, for the remainder of the semester. These will be spaces to connect with colleagues and share what’s worked well and what hasn’t. You can sign up through the Engagement Portal.

Indiana Campus Compact also offers funding and recognition opportunities:

Funding Opportunities: High-Impact Community Engagement Practices and Strengthening Communities grant proposals are due on June 15. If you need grant support for summer programs, the deadline is May 11.

ICC Faculty Fellows Program deadline is now May 11.

Annual Awards; Deadlines have been extended to June 15 for the following awards:

STUDENT COMMUNITY ACTION LEADERS AWARD: Honors undergraduate students at multiple ICC partner institutions who are new to community engagement and have shown, by action and leadership, their passion and ability to be a positive force in their communities.

RICHARD J. WOOD STUDENT COMMUNITY COMMITMENT AWARD: Recognizes a student from an Indiana Campus Compact partner institution who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to community engagement.

EMERGING LEADERS IN COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AWARD: Honors faculty and graduate teaching assistants from multiple Indiana Campus Compact partner institutions who are in the first seven years of their career and demonstrate leadership and innovation in advancing and shaping community engagement across the field. The award is designed to recognize emerging engaged scholarship work, rather than long-established projects.

BRIAN DOUGLAS HILTUNEN AWARD FOR THE OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO THE SCHOLARSHIP OF ENGAGEMENT: Honors a mid to late career faculty member at an ICC partner institution who exemplifies what it means to be an engaged scholar.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL AWARD: Honors a professional staff person at an ICC partner institution who demonstrates the ability to effectively cultivate, facilitate, and maintain high-quality partnerships with community organizations and representatives. (Ball State’s Delaina Boyd won in 2020!)

OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY PARTNER AWARD: Recognizes all nominated community partners for co-educating students through strong partnerships around community service, service-learning, community-based research, and any other form of community engagement.
