Research Study Effects of Text messaging on Health

September 27, 2021

The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is conducting a research study to investigate the effects of text messages on health (the myHealth study) in undergraduate college students  ≥ 18 years old. We are inviting your participation in the screening process, which will consist of answering general and demographic questions, as well as questions about your eating patterns, and health. This screening survey is estimated to take 15 minutes to complete, and will be used to determine if you are eligible to participate in the myHealth study. You have the right not to answer any question and to stop participation at any time.

If you meet the criteria for the myHealth study, you will be contacted to schedule an in-person appointment at the nutrition research facilities located in the Health Professions building on the BSU campus in Muncie, Indiana. If you have any questions concerning the research study, please contact me, Selicia Mayra, at stmayra@bsu.edu. If you have any questions about your rights as a subject/participant in this research, or if you feel you have been placed at risk, you can contact the Office of Research Integrity, Ball State University, Muncie, IN 47306, (765) 285-5052 or at orihelp@bsu.edu.
