Removing Old Course Content from Canvas and Mediasite

As our Canvas environment grows, it is necessary to remove older, outdated content in order to provide the best experience for students and faculty. Information Technology and the Office of Online and Strategic Learning will be removing older content from Canvas.

If you have courses and/or materials that were entered prior to the 2019 Fall Semester, it will be removed from Canvas on September 12, 2022.

As a reminder, Mediasite recordings that have not been accessed more than 6 times in the past three years will be deleted. Active recordings will remain in the system regardless of creation date.

If you wish to save your older Canvas course content, you may do so by exporting it to your personal computer or to an online file storage account, such as OneDrive.
