Applications for the Provost’s Prize are due on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 5:00 P.M.  All seniors are welcome to apply; participation in the Honors College is not required.

The prize includes a $1,000 award and a medallion presented on stage at the commencement ceremony if the recipient graduates in May or July. The recipient’s name will also be inscribed on a permanent plaque in the Ball Honors House.

To be eligible for the prize, interested students must:
• Be a senior graduating in December 2022, May 2023, or July 2023,
• Have a GPA of 3.5 or higher,
• Submit one (1) resume,
• Submit one (1) unofficial transcript,
• Submit two (2) letters of recommendation,
• Submit one (1) personal statement, of 500 words or less, detailing achievements and aspirations.

Students should submit complete application packets with the above-listed items by email in PDF format to Coralee Young at cyoung@bsu.edu.  In the email please indicate whether you are graduating in December 2022, May 2023, or July 2023.  Letters of recommendation can be submitted to Coralee directly from the faculty member but must arrive by December 9 at 5PM.  If letters will be submitted separately from your application packet, please indicate who the letter writers are in your email.

A committee consisting of faculty and Academic Affairs leadership from each academic college will make recommendations to the Provost no later than March 1, 2023, with the Provost’s final selection made no later than March 15, 2023. All applicants will be notified of their status after this date.
