CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The summit will showcase the meaningful work of faculty, staff, and students at Ball State University as well as other institutions. We invite you to share your teaching practices, especially those related to experiences that cultivate kindness and create a sense of belonging for teachers and learners.

Following are some topics to consider as you put together your session proposal:

  • Assessment Practices: Share assessment data, strategies, and/or tools that inform your practices in and out of the classroom space
  • Pedagogy of Belonging Practices: Share pedagogical approaches that support a sense of belonging
  • Empowering and Supporting Faculty: Share strategies that empower and support faculty in their work with learners
  • Trends in Higher Education: Share strategies for addressing current and emerging influences in higher education

Presentations will occur in one of two formats:

An individual submission is a single-presenter format. When submitting, you can select a 20-minute 45-minute presentation length.

A full panel submission is a multiple-presenter format involving a session chair and up to three presenters. The session chair organizes the presenters and submits the complete proposal. Panel presentations are 45 minutes in length.

Submit your summit proposal HERE by November 15, 2025, 5 p.m. Eastern time.
