Practice in all linguistic skills through study of French and Francophone sources. French and Francophone Studies offer an interdisciplinary approach to mastering the French language while exploring the rich and diverse cultures, histories, and societies of the French-speaking world, including France, Africa, and Canada.
This course is a topics course designed to introduce students to the diversity of French and Francophone Cultures. Through the means of diverse medias: (social) media, images, music, and texts, students will engage with different approaches to the cultural productions of several areas. The course entails aspects of French culture and explores interactions between France and the Francophone World.
Prerequisite: FR 202 or permission of the department chairperson
