Reel Inclusion Film Series Latino Americans: Peril and Promise (2013) 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 13 AJ 175.

The Office of Inclusive Excellence, Ball State University Libraries, Friends of Bracken Library, the Multicultural Center, and the Office of the Provost invite you to attend a screening of the film Latino Americans: Peril and Promise (2013) as part of Reel Inclusion: A Film Series. This program takes place at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13 at 5:30 p.m. in AJ 175.

Peril and Promise, an installment in the 6-part PBS documentary series Latino Americans, presents a history of the diverse communities of Latinx peoples of many nationalities living in the United States from 1980 to the 21st century. The film highlights the challenges, obstacles, and perils faced by many Hispanic immigrants during this time while also detailing the vibrant communities, economic successes, and rich artistic and cultural legacies of Latinos in the United States. 

The film has a running time of 55 minutes. A discussion will follow the film.
