Students interested in becoming a Peer Mentor will need to contact an Academic Advisor to add EDHI 303 to their schedule (permission is required) and complete an application. Students must have completed at least one semester at Ball State University and have strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and knowledge of campus resources. Application deadline is April 17.
2026 First Year Seminar Peer Mentor Application
EDHI 303 is a 1-credit-hour leadership course. Students will gain hands-on experience in Small Group Facilitation, Strategic Communication, One-on-one relationships, and Reflective Practice. Participation will allow student/peer mentors to build their network, enhance their resume, and earn college credit toward their degree. EDHI 303 is also a key component of the Leadership Development minor.
