Registration for this free virtual summit will open this fall!
The summit will showcase the meaningful work of faculty, staff, and students at Ball State University as well as other institutions. We invite you to share your teaching practices, especially those related to experiences that cultivate kindness and create a sense of belonging for teachers and learners.
Please consider these themes as you prepare your session proposal:
- Assessment Practices: Share assessment tools and data that inform and improve curricular or co-curricular student experiences.
- Pedagogy of Belonging Practices: Share pedagogical approaches that create a sense of belonging.
- Faculty Support and Empowerment: Share strategies that foster self-care and support and empower faculty in their work.
- Trends in Higher Education: Share strategies for addressing current and emerging developments in higher education.
Presentations will occur in one of two formats:
An individual submission is a single-presenter format. When submitting, you can select a 20-minute or a 45-minute presentation length.
A full panel submission is a multiple-presenter format involving a session chair and up to three presenters. The session chair organizes the presenters and submits the complete proposal. Panel presentations are 45 minutes in length.
Submit your summit proposal HERE by November 15, 2025, 5 p.m. Eastern time. Two proposals submitted by BSU faculty/staff will be randomly selected to receive $100 Recognized Incentive Activity (RIA).
