The Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs is pleased to share the good news that Dr. Laurie Cox has been chosen to serve as the Executive Director for Global Affairs in the Rinker Center for International Programs at Ball State University.

Dr. Laurie Cox has served as the Director of International Services in the Rinker Center for International Programs at Ball State for more than four years.  She was the Assistant Dean and Director, International Student Services at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for eight years.  She was the Associate Director at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles where she worked for over 12 years.  She has dedicated herself to the field of student services for over 30 years there and at Chaminade University-Honolulu, Bentley College in Waltham, MA, and Katharine Gibbs School in Boston.  She completed her doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California in 2006 focusing on re-entry education for international students.  She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Master of Arts degree in History from Boston University.  She has studied Russian, Japanese, French, and Latin.  She and her team will ensure that the Rinker Center for International Programs advocates for diversity and cultural understanding to enrich the Ball State University experience and encourage and support global citizenry.
