Peer Reviewers Needed

May 05, 2023

Serving as a peer reviewer is a substantial way to improve your grantsmanship. Sponsored Projects (SPA) is looking for reviewers for the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Summer Stipend internal review committee. This prestigious award provides a summer stipend to support individuals pursuing advanced research that is of value to humanities scholars, general audiences, or both. Recipients produce articles, monographs, books, digital materials, archaeological site reports, translations, editions, or other scholarly resources.

In accordance with NEH guidelines, Ball State may nominate two faculty proposals. This review committee will recommend those faculty nominees on behalf of Ball State.

SPA coordinates this committee virtually utilizing InfoReady. Committee members will review the proposals between Aug 23-Sept 4. If necessary, the committee will hold a meeting in the first week of September to recommend which proposals should move forward. Reviewers are expected to provide anonymous feedback to all applicants.

Interested faculty should represent the Humanities, Arts or Social Science disciplines. Anyone interested in serving on this review committee should email Sarah Lee, Slee@bsu.edu by June 8.

NOTE: If you are planning on submitting a proposal this year, you are not able to serve on this review committee
