Pathways Undergraduate Research Fellowship: Applications are LIVE

September 15, 2025

The Pathways Undergraduate Research Fellowship at Ball State University is designed to provide undergraduate Pathways Mentoring Program students with research and scholarly experiences through the support of a faculty mentor who will help them to gain additional skills and accomplishments to enhance their applications for post-baccalaureate graduate and professional programs.

Fellowship appointments are for one semester for approximately 5 hours per week (with a wage of $10 per hour). Student fellows will receive pay for up to 75 hours of work per semester ($750/semester), working an average of 5 hours per week during the academic year (15-week semesters).
Students may participate in one of two ways:

·         Option 1: Students may present ideas for their own research projects in collaboration with a current faculty mentor (the faculty member must also be a Pathways mentor and can apply to be a Pathways Mentoring Program Mentor if they are not already involved).

·         Option 2: Students may work with a current Pathways faculty member on an existing research or scholarly project.

Eligibility
Selected fellows must be undergraduate mentees in the Pathways Mentoring Program. Students who are not currently part of the Pathways Mentoring Program may apply to join as a new mentee here. Ten students will be selected for the 2025-2026 academic year. Students may not be enrolled in the Teachers-Scholar Program or the Honors College Fellowship Program at the same time (in the same semester) as participation in the Pathways Undergraduate Research Fellowship program.

Apply for the Pathways Undergraduate Research Fellowship here. Applications are due Sept 30.
