Paid Research Study for Children with ADHD
This study is examining the effect of single bout of exercise on the ability to concentrate and correctly respond to a computerized test in comparison to the effect of standard treatment with stimulant medication.
WHO: Boys and girls 8 to 14 years of age who have attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and are currently being treated with stimulant medication (e.g. Ritalin, Concerta, Adderall) and meet study eligibility requirements.
WHERE: The Human Performance Laboratory (Health and Physical Activity Building) and Psychophysiological, Attention, Cognition and Emotion Laboratory (North Quad) at Ball State University.
WHAT: Three visits to the Ball State campus are required with each visit lasting 60-90 minutes. Participants will be compensated with $10 for completing all phases of the study.
