Are you interested in spending a year overseas, all expenses paid, after completing your undergraduate degree? The Fulbright program sends thousands of recent graduates and grad students overseas for an academic year. Students graduating in 2022 should start working on their applications this semester.
Students can apply to go to any one of 150 countries to do graduate study, work on independent research or creative projects (including thesis/dissertation work), or serve as English Teaching Assistants.
Applicants must be:
- U.S. citizens
- strong academically. A 4.0 is not required, but since this is a nationwide competition students with GPAs below 3.0 are less likely to be selected.
- college graduates. Students can apply before graduating but must have the undergraduate degree in hand by the time the grant begins.
