Join the Japanese Culture Club tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 22nd from 4-6 PM in the Multicultural Center for the 10th Anniversary of #OnigiriAction!
We will make Japanese rice balls, take pictures, and upload them to social media with the hashtag #OnigiriAction. Any and all pictures related to Onigiri are welcome! For each post, TABLE FOR TWO USA will donate 5 school meals for children in need from countries in East Africa and South East Asia, as well as children from local communities here in the U.S! Participants can upload their pictures the day of the event up to November 16th, when the campaign concludes.
This annual social good campaign was launched in 2015 by TABLE FOR TWO USA, a nonprofit organization that works to equalize global food imbalances through unique meal-sharing programs. Since its inception, the Onigiri Action campaign has provided over 10 million school meals. The initiative is an official affiliate of the World Economic Forum's Young Global Leaders and unites people from different countries and cultures across the globe through Japanese Food Culture to tackle critical health issues.
